Greetings from Sandusky

First things first, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Michael Crowley. I am a senior Musical Theatre major at Kent State, where our little show was created. I am the Marketing Director for Transforum as well as the President of Roundtable (a student theatre producing organization), and President of MTSO (Musical Theatre Student Organization). Clearly, I have an overwhelming abundance of free time. When Dan first asked me to join the cast of Grimm’s, I was so elated. I didn’t audition for the first incarnation of the show because I had my first break from rehearsals/shows in about 7 months I did not want to cram another show in there. I was, however, able to witness the magic that was created for that first production. It was a huge success and the creativity that poured out of it made me immediately regret my decision of not auditioning.

Now, here we are, almost 2 years later and we are about to leave for the trip of a lifetime. For me, the adventure will come a little after everyone else, as I am spending my summer performing in Cedar Point’s Live Entertainment show, Lusty Lil’s Revue. My contract here ends on the 17th, and I will not be able to join the rest of the cast until the 19th. However, I am beyond thrilled to get over there and get to work.

Working on a project like this is a dream come true. Not many actors or artists my age can say they have done something like this, and it is an experience I will always remember. I hope that as the Festival and show move forward, we are able to try and share some of the excitement we are experiencing.

Before I go, I would like to thank everyone who has supported us on our journey so far. Back in January, I thought this was so far away, yet we are now only days from this incredible opportunity. I’ll be sure to check back in and update everyone on not only my journey, but our journey as a whole.
